Ryan Balton
Blog publisher Ryan Balton attended Delaware Valley from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 2007. He is dual majoring in education policy and television production at Syracuse University.

It might show some maturity and intelligence to take Splendora's comments slightly more seriously.
I would take Splendora's comments more seriously if (1) he backed them up with actual resource/sources/data and (2) he was interested in being a part of the solution: Not only does he fail to mention any constructive ideas in his letters to the editor, but also to my knowledge, he does not attend school board meetings and he does not volunteer at the school district.
I would also take Splendora more seriously if his letters didn't whine about the Finans (who fired him - is he just publicly showing off a grudge?) and whine about the co-curricular achievements of DV students. The baseball state championship from two years ago that he constantly berates is both a source of pride for our school and community and one example of how co-curriculars develop dedication, respect, teamwork and many useful skills that simply can't be attained in the classroom.
I might also take Mr. Splendora's comments slightly more seriously if he was a bit more pro-active. His immaturity has shown through on more than one of his past editorials. He lost my respect long ago.
Tony Splendora and you have much in common. Both of you cannot let go of the past and forget about DV. Move on with your life and stop whining about the school!
