"I am an independent candidate," Silverstone said in an email. "I am not affiliated with either group."

Residents of the school district began receiving the TU mailer on Thursday. It includes this letter posted on RB for DV Thursday afternoon. It also includes postcards titled "Take me to the polls" with a list of the Taxpayers United candidates and their places on the ballot.
Silverstone's name appears under the list with the heading "Vote for 'only' four Taxpayers United candidates." But Silverstone said in an email Friday morning that he is not affiliated with TU.
"I am pleased that TU decided to recommend me," Silverstone said in an email. "So I'm a candidate TU is supporting and they are saying I'm a TU candidate."
The following instructions to write-in Bob Goldsack also were mailed out to Democratic voters in the school district. Goldsack's name will not appear on the Democratic ballot as per a court order after his filing paperwork was challenged.

Independent Ed's name just happened to show up on the mailing card. How convenient. Come on Ed who do you think you're fooling? You're attached to the TU hip with a big Silverstone pin.
Face it, you hung out with smart candidates at the candidate nights because your own guys were too dumb to speak. It helped your cause. Now when all the seniors come out to vote you hang out with the dummies because names on the ballot don't need to talk.
Fool yourself but not the audience.
snicker snicker sure ED if you say so
and the taxpayers won't be paying any higher taxes right?
Heh free bird, do you think boob will be able to type in his name on that democratic ticket or will he need a little help from his sidekick?
Well, gosh then, I'm confused. If Silverstone is not a member of TU, or the so-called Committee to Elect Goldsack, Marasa and Wright, who paid for the mailing that gives him this boost? Does he have to report it in his campaign finance reports as a contribution?
He'll probably need an "Independent" auditor.
Snakes of a feather slither together.
Strange there are no posts from Taxpayers United supporters and you can bet they are reading. Egg on their face? Voting on a budget and concealing the facts from the public! Taxpayers United have practiced this for years. They say what they need to say to get voted in and then whamo they become puppets. They're not alone though. Looks like a few others need to go. Personally, I'm sick of the "independent" thinkers. BTW we will pay attention in the next election too!
Arrrg, methinks the "X" marks the spot where the GOLD sacks and SILVER stones be hidden.
Mr. Crabs, you are very clever!
