A "canvas of the votes" will happen in the Pike County Commissioners Office on Friday at 9 a.m., according to an e-mail from board candidate Jack Fisher. The event will be open to the public. The tie between Fisher and Ed Silverstone is the biggest issue from Tuesday's election that has the potential to be settled on Friday.
All absentee ballots have been counted, according to the e-mail. Fisher received the information from the director of the Board of Elections, Yolanda Goldsack, he said. Mrs. Goldsack has not returned an e-mail from RB for DV.
