Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter/pianist and Pike County native Vanessa Carlton will perform June 6 at the Milford Music Festival.Read more from the Times Herald-Record
Best known for 2003's Grammy-nominated Song of the Year, "A Thousand Miles," Carlton will perform songs off her most recent album, "Heroes & Thieves." She'll be backed vocally by select students from Delaware Valley High School.
Other performances scheduled for the festival include Traveling Man - a high-energy blues band from New Jersey - and Roots N Rhythm. Nationally acclaimed recording artist Bashiri Johnson, best known for his work with Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, and Miles Davis, will perform with Jah Stix for a percussion driven set. Woodstock area's Mike Smith Band, a Tribute to Noel Coward (as performed at NYC's National Arts Club) and performances by the DV Jazz Band (featuring noted singer Natasha Green) and the DV Choir will round out Saturdays program.
