I just received an e-mail from Bill Hessling, the business manager, saying that the majority of the board has decided I must appear in person in order to be interviewed this evening. They will not allow the interview to take place by phone or video conference.
Since it will not be possible for me to make the interview in person, I have e-mailed Hessling a statement to be distributed and read to the board on my behalf, and I have encouraged the board members to contact me if they have any concerns or questions.
Update: 3 p.m.
At least one board member plans to call me at my scheduled interview time of 8 p.m.
