Times-Tribune followup on the STI numbers

In a new article on the Times-Tribune website, superintendent Dr. Candis Finan and DVHS nurse Ellen Orben are interviewed by the press for the first time since this matter arose, discussing the validity behind the numbers of STIs and pregnancies that were printed in the letter sent home.

Despite the questions about the accuracy of the information in the letter, Ms. Orben and Dr. Finan said the issues it raised need to be addressed. Dr. Finan said she believes MFHS provided the information to Ms. Orben, and that the district acted in its students’ best interests in releasing it.
